Australian Music Events is proud to present Australia's celebrated international soprano, YVONNE KENNY at Opera in the Alps 2008. She will be joined by tenor sensation ROY BEST, a 100-voice chorus and 50-piece orchestra led by one of Australia's most exciting young conductors, BENJAMIN NORTHEY.

Staged on the picturesque grounds of La Trobe at Beechworth, Opera in the Alps has become firmly established as one of regional Victoria's cultural highlights, attracting people from North-East Victoria, Melbourne and interstate regions. Since its inception in 1996, the event has grown from an audience of 150 to nearly 5,000. Patrons can expect an evening of sensory delights as they enjoy favourites from opera and popular classics under the stars and sample some of the region's finest gourmet food and wines that which will be sold at outlets prior to the concert and at interval.
