Toronto Tech Week
*** Update *** - This is NOT the actual Toronto Tech Week, this is a meeting where we're inviting people from the industry to learn how they can be involved, it is a Town Hall meeting to discuss Toronto Tech Week.
A quick update on Toronto Tech Week 2008, the week will be moved to the fall of 2008 which gives us all a lot of time to make this bigger and better week! I will be taking on the role as Chair again along with a great Advisory Committee. We have been working on putting together a great week and there will be various events that you can attend or speak at, participate in the trade show and career fair or host your own event. Since Toronto Tech Week (TTW) is an industry wide initiative there are lots of opportunities for you to get involved, we’re still looking to fill two roles on the Advisory Committee, and we are also looking for volunteers to be on the different committees and projects as part of TTW. Our next Town Hall meeting has been scheduled and we’ll share the full vision for TTW 2008 and let you know about the different ways to get involved.
Backgrounder on Toronto Tech Week 2007 for those who didn't attend:
- it was first held May 28 – June 1, 2007
- 20+ events were held ranging in focus from Social Media, Online Advertising, Strategic Business Planning, Mobile and much more
- 2,000 people attended the event from across the country and as far as China
- The week is very broad covering things as mobile, CRM, SEM, Security, but each event held is very focused and niche
