In 2008 the world's largest leather event, the Folsom Street Fairtm, will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Sunday, September 28, 2008 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The Folsom Street Fair is a true San Francisco original. With over 400,000 people in attendance covering 13 city blocks, the Fair is the largest leather/fetish event in the world and the third largest, single-day outdoor event in California. Folsom Street Events is thrilled to celebrate the historic 25th Folsom Street Fair with style and a week's worth of truly outstanding events and programs over the course of San Francisco Leather Week.

In addition to the main attraction of the 25th Folsom Street Fair, San Francisco Leather Week (September 20 - September 28, 2008) will offer an expanded range of social, artistic, historic, and cultural options for the community. The week is kicks off with a formal leather gala dinner at The Regency Center's Sutter Room featuring the legendary Joan Rivers. Leather pride flags will adorn Market Street for the first time ever. An exhibit of cultural artifacts from 25 years of the Fair will be presented at the Gay & Lesbian Historical Society. A special leather and GLBT bus and walking tour of South of Market, Castro and the City of San Francisco will take place as well. Tickets for all of these events are available now.

The 25th Folsom Street Fair will offer 250+ exciting and sexy exhibitors and vendors, hot food and cold drinks, and tons of artistic and cultural entertainment. The event hosts two live stages with 16 live alternative acts, a huge dance area with internationally renowned DJs, a dedicated area for women ("Venus' Playground") and a newly inaugurated artists' area. This year, the Fair hopes to attract an exceptionally famous and fun, top-name artist or two that will surely excite everyone.

In 2009, the Folsom Street Fairtm will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2009. Remember the Folsom Street Fairtm is always scheduled for the last Sunday in September.
